Noted pastor and author John Piper boldly challenges us in this video to evaluate what our treasure is in this life. God chooses at times to bless us. But its up to us what we do with those blessings. Do we allow the things we treasure in this life to become idols over God? Or do we treasure Christ above all things, and use the blessings we have to show the world that Jesus Christ is paramount in our lives. A very sobering and powerful message.
Today we traveled to Boquete. We went to a local indian village, picked them up, and brought them to a local mission church. Much of this tribe is unfamiliar with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and they are hearing the message for the first time. At the mission, we first had worship with followed by a meal. These people were so kind and loving. We will be working with this mission each week.
Charlie had the opportunity to preach the word in a church in Boquete. The Pastor is Enrique Sanchez, a strong man of faith. The audio in this video is not great, but the message was broadcast on a local radio station. Pastor Sanchez and Charlie are working on creating outreaches. Pastor Sanchez has extended the opportunity to Lacy to head up a childrens ministry. Our harvest for Christ is only beginning!
