Our Vision
Our Story
Our goals are to meet the practical needs of the poor and those forgotten by society. Our projects include feeding and clothing the poor, ministering to orphans, widows, any who are struggling with the realities of poverty in Panama. We strive to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and equip people with knowledge to deepen their relationship.
Into The Harvest Ministries took root in March of 2011. Founders Charlie and Lacy Parish began to activly seek the will of God for their lives. Charlie is pursing a Masters Degree in Seminary and has a passion to teach God's word. Lacy is a mother of four boys and has worked with children and youth all of her life. One of the most powerful words spoken by Jesus Christ is found in Matthew 28:19. It is simply "Go." Jesus told his disciples to go unto all the world preaching the gospel. He commissioned them with reaching out into a lost world in need of the savior. These were the marching orders. To feed the poor, heal the sick, meet needs, and to go. No matter the cost.
The inspiring words of the Great Commission were spoken to Jesus disciples. And as followers of Christ, we continue to
carry out the commands of Jesus to the impoverished areas of Panama. There are so many underprivlidged children living in the Golfito and surrounding areas of Costa Rica. Many of these children have never been exposed to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The people of Panama lead a very simple lifestyle. It is not uncommon to see small shacks lined up housing very large families. Some children are turned out simply because families cannot afford them. These children are forced to live a hard life on the streets unless they are fortunate to be taken in by an orpanage. The streets of Panama hold many dangers. Drugs, legalized prostitution, are among the few snares that await these children.
Through our website we will keep you informed of the goings on with Into The Harvest Ministries. Our mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, to assist the orphanages in reaching these children living on the street, to minister to them and their families, and to raise up Christian leaders in the communities. May the Lord Jesus Christ recieve all the glory!
